ROOKIE:
Perfect for beginners, this level introduces players to the basic mechanics of game play using only Player Cards. Strategy focuses on setting matchups that create offensive & defensive advantages. If you can do addition and subtraction, you can play as a Rookie.
PRO:
With the basics mastered, try adding Game Impact Cards! These in-game, limited use strategy cards offer risk/reward decisions, enhance your own player abilities, and can even diminish your opponent’s abilities for multiple possessions!
ALL STAR:
Intended for experienced players and used in combination with Draft & Star Cap Game Modes, playing as an All Star means activating Player Power Ups - special abilities bestowed to select players that create an always on advantage over an opponent.

PICKUP GAME
Combine all Player Cards into a single deck, shuffle, and deal. Use your skill and savvy to get the most out of your roster!
DRAFT
Deal 21 Player Cards face up. Alternate turns picking Player Cards using a snake method until each player has 7 cards. Choose the players that match your strategy and give you the best chance to win!
STAR CAP
Similar to a salary cap, set a limit on the number of sum of star ratings for each team (example: 23 total stars across 7 cards). Get creative on how to build your roster within the limit!
game impact cards invite strategic decision making
These Risk/Reward cards offer the chance to tilt the odds of winning a matchup in your favor by creating temporary game conditions for either the Offensive or Defensive Player - including ability rating bonuses or deduction, increasing the probability of a turnover, or increasing the value of a particular shot. Game Impact Cards can also be used to unlock multi-Player Card combinations that make use of each player’s strongest skills. However, each card is limited use, which means you must choose the right moment to deploy the card to get maximum benefit.
PLAYER POWER UPS unlock strategic advantages
Player Power Ups are special in-game abilities bestowed to a select set of players based on league-leading on-court performance. Represented by icons on each Player Card, these attributes unlock new layers of strategy - both when constructing your roster as well as choosing how to play any given matchup. Power Ups are an Advanced feature, recommended for those who have mastered the basics of the game and who are taking full advantage of Game Impact Cards.
